Cursive Letter H Worksheets
These cursive letter H worksheets are perfect for practicing capital H, lowercase h, and short words which begin with H. This printable page is great for cursive handwriting tracing and basic letter formation at home or in the classroom.
The cursive letter h is an interesting formation as it has both height, a tall part, in the same letter plus a rounded connection. The lowercase h leads into the letter with a rising stroke before going back down and making a small curve.
This combination of height and small curve makes for a great letter to practice keeping that height and not losing the small curve at the end.

Big Cursive H Letters
This worksheet gives more space for children to focus on the big height for this particular letter formation. When completing this worksheet the capital H should be nice and upright, while the lowercase h requires that tall h stroke to flow back down to meet the writing line.
The bigger size also gives children the opportunity to focus on the height of the letter before moving onto the smaller curve at the end of the lowercase h. Lowercase h is a tall letter and if not made with that rising stroke it can look very similar to the letter n.
Cursive H Upper & Lowercase
This page focuses on the difference between upper and lowercase forms of the letter h. The uppercase form takes up more space, while the lowercase needs to have that tall rising stroke and a connection to the writing line.
It is important that the lowercase h rises up before flowing back down again. The curve should also be rounded but not too stretched out. This page is great to see if the children are keeping the height of the lowercase h consistent to keep the round shape of the letter when forming the next letter.
Cursive H 3 Letter Words
This worksheet takes cursive handwriting into three letter words like hat, hen, and hop. Using these three letter words allows children to practice the letter h with different vowels and at the start of a word.
The word hat has the h joined to the curve of the a which curves back in before finishing with the t at the end. The word hen is h followed by an e and then the n which means there must be some space between the letters. The h in hop then flows into the o before being finished off with the p at the end.
These short three letter words allow children to complete simple cursive words without losing the height of the h at the beginning of the word.
