Cursive Letter N Worksheets

The letter N is a great choice for cursive writing practice as it is tall and has a nice curve.

Big Cursive N Letters
Kids can have all the room they need to practice their cursive writing skills with this big letter N worksheet.
The capital N requires some good controlled strokes to get that nice curve without making the letter too wobbly or unclear.
The lowercase n needs a much smaller curve that lifts up off the writing line and comes straight back down again.
The bigger space allows kids to slow right down and focus on seeing the cursive writing as they move their hand from one stroke to the next.
This is a very good worksheet to help develop writing control, spacing and cursive writing joins.
Cursive N Upper & Lowercase
This worksheet puts the uppercase N and the lowercase n together to allow kids to see how they both look when written together.
The uppercase N is clearly a bigger letter than the lowercase n and takes up more space on the page.
Both the uppercase and lowercase n need to be clearly visible on the writing line, as mistakes with the lowercase n are common when the curve becomes too wide or squashed.
This worksheet is ideal for comparing the writing sizes of the two cursive N letters.
Cursive N 3 Letter Words
This N worksheet focuses on getting kids writing the letter N within a group of 3 letter words such as nap, net and nod. It focuses on how the n works with other letters to form the beginning of words.
Looking closely at nap shows that the n leads into the curve of the a and then the p drops down below the writing line.
Net shows the join from the small curve of the n into the e and then the tall ending letter of the t.
Nod requires the child to make the short curve of the n into the circle of the o and finish off with the lowercase d at the end of the word.
Working through the 3 letter words allows children space to practice their cursive writing without getting bogged down in longer words.
