Follow the blue lines as we add one more detail in every step. Our flower drawing will be done right before our eyes!

Easy Flower Drawing Step by Step

Let us begin our easy flower drawing tutorial. You will need a pencil, paper, an eraser, and coloring supplies. First, you need to make sure that you start your drawing at the top part of the page so that you can leave enough space below for a long stem and leaves. All set? Let’s begin.

Step 1: Draw the Center Petal

Step 1 Showing One Tall Pointed Petal Drawn In The Center Of The Flower.

We will begin our flower drawing from the center petal. First, add one long petal.

Start from the top point and make sure to curve both lines outward and then connect them at the bottom. It should resemble a tall leaf standing upright.

Step 2: Add the Right Petal

Step 2 Showing A Second Pointed Petal Added To The Right Side Of The Center Petal.

Now, we need to add a petal on the right side.

On the right side of the center petal, make sure to start one long line from its bottom part and curve it upward and outward before bringing it back toward the flower center.

Step 3: Add the Left Petal

Step 3 Showing A Third Pointed Petal Added To The Left Side Of The Flower.

On the left side of the flower, we will add another similar petal.

Just like we did on the right side, we need to curve the lines outward and connect them at the bottom of the center petal.

Step 4: Draw the Flower Base

Step 4 Showing A Small Rounded Base Added Underneath The Three Flower Petals.

Now, below our three pointed petals, we need to add the flower base.

From one side of the bloom, we need to curve one line below the petals until we reach the opposite side. It should look like a small cup under the flower.

Step 5: Add the Stem

Step 5 Showing Two Long Parallel Lines Added To Create The Flower Stem.

From the bottom of the flower base, we need to add two long lines.

Make sure to keep them parallel to each other and connect them at the bottom to form our flower’s long stem.

Step 6: Draw the Leaves

Step 6 Showing One Large Pointed Leaf Added To Each Side Of The Flower Stem.

On either side of the flower stem, we will add a big pointed leaf.

Start each leaf near the lower part of the stem, curve two lines outward, and connect them again near the flower’s base.

Step 7: Add the Leaf Details

Step 7 Showing One Curved Detail Line Added Inside Each Flower Leaf.

Inside every leaf, we need to add one long curved line.

Make sure to start each line from the bottom of the leaf and move it toward the pointed end. The lines will divide the leaves into two parts.

Step 8: Draw the Stamens

Step 8 Showing Three Stamens With Round Tips Added At The Top Of The Flower.

At the top of the flower, let us add three stamens.

For our stamens, add one tall line in the center of the bloom and two shorter lines on either side. Add one small circle at the end of every line.

Step 9: Color the Flower

Step 9 Showing The Finished Flower Colored Red, Orange, And Green.

The final step is to color the flower we have drawn. For the petals, we have used a vibrant red color, and for the round parts of the stamens, orange. The flower base, leaves, and our flower’s stem are all green. The lines inside the leaves are black.

You can use the same color combination, or you can make a flower drawing in pink, purple, yellow, blue, or any other colors you may like.
